Fred Hutch, UW Medicine, and Seattle Children’s form the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Northwest. This group of organizations is one of the top-funded cancer centers in the country. Their purpose is to lead the world in the prevention and treatment of cancer.
Our clinicians customize treatment plans, based on leading-edge research and experience. During initial visits, our team of specialists will review the patient’s information, perform any additional testing, and discuss the diagnosis and treatment options. Patients should leave their appointment knowing exactly what the next steps should be. The presence of a family member or friend can provide emotional support and they can assist in taking notes or asking questions.
Patients have access to over 200 clinical trials conducted by researchers at Fred Hutch, UW Medicine and Seattle Children's. Participation in clinical trials is a vital and critical component of disease treatment and the development of new ways to prevent, detect, diagnose or treat disease.

Patients are scheduled to see the best doctor for their specific needs either at the outpatient clinic on the Fred Hutch campus, UW Medical Center, Evergreen Health, or Northwest Hospital. Pediatric patients may be seen at Seattle Children’s. If overnight hospital stays are necessary, adult patients go to UWMC and pediatric patients go to Seattle Children’s.
